一、单位简介 Introduction

学校是中华人民共和国成立后建立的第一所专门培养远洋船员和内河船员的学校。其前身是1951年成立的南京海运学校和1956年成立的南京航运学校，2003年经教育部批准合并组建江苏海事职业技术学院，先后培养出近20万名优秀校友，被业界誉为“新中国航海人才的摇篮”，2019年学校成功入选中国特色高水平专业群和高水平专业建设单位。

The college is the first institution established after the founding of the People's Republic of China specifically for the training of ocean-going and inland waterway sailors. Its predecessor was the Nanjing Maritime School established in 1951 and the Nanjing Shipping School established in 1956. In 2003, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to merge and form Jiangsu Maritime Institute (JMI). It has since produced nearly 200,000 outstanding alumni. It is hailed by the industry as the cradle of talent for maritime professionals in New China. In 2019, JMI successfully entered the ranks of China's high-level characteristic professional groups and high-level professional construction units.

学校积极响应“一带一路”倡议，服务国际产能合作，坚持开放办学，与33所国（境）外院校长期合作，开办50余项交流项目；与巴拿马等国家政府部门合作，建有巴拿马船员教育与培训质量体系及培训基地；与孟加拉国合作培训非学历外籍船员；成立“一带一路”海员培养与发展国际协作组；开展“泰华（缅甸）船员学院”“阿联酋郑和学院（阿布扎比）”等境外办学，中缅“中文+航海职业技能”专业人才培养项目入选第四批“中国－东盟双百职校强强合作旗舰计划”；承接交通部“中非友谊”合作项目，培训非洲地区港运技能人才。

JMI actively responds to the "Belt and Road" initiative, serves international production capacity cooperation, adheres to open education, and has long-term cooperation with 33 overseas institutions. It has launched more than 50 exchange programs. It cooperates with governments of countries such as Panama to establish a quality education and training system for Panamanian seafarers and training bases. It cooperates with Bangladesh to train non-degree foreign seafarers. It has established the International Cooperation Group for the Cultivation and Development of "Belt and Road" Seafarers and initiated overseas education such as the "Thaihua (Myanmar) Seafarer Academy" and the "Zheng He Academy (Abu Dhabi, UAE)". The Sino-Myanmar "Chinese Language + Maritime Vocational Skills" talent training project was selected as the fourth batch of the "China-ASEAN Double Hundred Vocational Colleges Flagship Cooperation Program". It undertakes the Ministry of Transport's "China-Africa Friendship" cooperation project and trains talents in port and shipping skills in Africa.

二、学校专业介绍及特色等 Majors and Characteristics

围绕现代海洋运输产业链和区域支柱产业，学校构建了以航海技术、船舶与海洋工程、港口与智能工程、航运经济与管理等4个专业群为“一体”，信息技术与人工智能、邮轮与艺术设计等2个专业群为“两翼”的“一体两翼”专业布局，共41个专业。学校是全国首批履行国际海事组织STCW公约，建有国家海事局“船员培训质量管理体系”和挪威-德国劳氏船级社DNV-GL质量认证体系“双体系”的院校。

Centering around the modern marine transportation industry chain and regional pillar industries, JMI has constructed a professional layout with four major groups, namely Navigation Technology, Ship and Ocean Engineering, Port and Intelligent Engineering, Shipping Economy and Management, forming the "core," and two groups, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, and Cruise and Art Design, forming the "wings," known as the "core with two wings" professional layout, comprising a total of 41 majors. JMI is one of the first in the country to comply with the International Maritime Organization's STCW Convention and has established a dual system of the "Crew Training Quality Management System" of the State Maritime Administration and the quality certification system of the Det Norske Veritas-Germanischer Lloyd (DNV-GL), a Norwegian-German classification society.

学校建有全球最先进的Kongsberg航海模拟器、轮机模拟器，全国领先的 Wärtsilä 共轨电喷轮机智能化机舱和高职院校唯一的长江停泊训练船——“育新轮”等先进教学设施，综合实力和办学水平稳居全国航海高职前列。拥有交通运输部海事局海事联合调查实验室、长三角现代航运技术公共实训基地、国家“十四五”教育强国推进工程，是国家海事局船员考试评估培训基地。

JMI has established the most advanced Kongsberg maritime simulators, engine simulators, leading Wärtsilä common rail electronic injection turbochargers, intelligent engine rooms, and the only Yangtze River mooring training ship for vocational colleges – the "Yuxin Lun," among other advanced teaching facilities. With comprehensive strength and educational standards, it consistently ranks among the top maritime vocational colleges nationwide. It possesses the Ministry of Transport Maritime Bureau's Maritime Joint Investigation Laboratory, the Yangtze River Delta Modern Shipping Technology Public Training Base, and is part of the National "14th Five-Year Plan" Education Strong Nation Promotion Project, serving as a training base for the National Maritime Bureau's crew examination and evaluation.

学校是全国首批定向培养士官的试点院校，为全国职业院校“国际影响力50强”“服务贡献50强”“育人成效50强”，在江苏省2022年度高校综合考核中，学校荣获A类高职院校“第一等次”的优秀成绩，开启了建设中国特色世界水平海事类高等职业院校的新航程。

JMI is one of the first in the country to pilot the targeted training of non-commissioned officers. It has been recognized as one of the "Top 50 Vocational Colleges with International Influence," "Top 50 Vocational Colleges for Service Contribution," and "Top 50 Vocational Colleges for Educational Achievement" nationwide. In the comprehensive assessment of universities in Jiangsu Province in 2022, the school was awarded the highest grade of "First Class" among vocational colleges, marking the beginning of a new journey to build a world-class maritime vocational college with Chinese characteristics.
